MUSPACE
Mary’s Immaculate College / University of Limerick approached me to create a visual identity for their new project documenting the transformative power of music education. Their research blog explores how migrants are both shaping and being shaped by musical spaces in schools.
The goal of the project was to establish a playful visual identity that would be represent the diversity of the kids and appeal to both of its target demographics; the children themselves as well as the educators and funders dissecting the research.
The final result achieves this with a bold, underlined logotype that references music notes on a stave. It can be used on a simple backdrop of warm pastels when needed for research papers or paired with the key visual to appeal the younger demographic. This key visual is minimal in style featuring diverse characters holding up the logo in collaboration, surrounded by the music that brings them together.
