St. Patrick's Festival: Ireland in Colour

Ireland in Colour is a creative showcase for St. Patrick’s Festival that I curated with DesignOpp, my IDI initiative championing diversity for People of Colour in the Irish design and creative industries. The showcase features 5 diverse creatives across different disciplines depicting their experiences as People of Colour in Ireland and is narrated by the talented writer and poet FeliSpeaks. As one of the creatives in the series, my piece depicts my experience being mixed race in Ireland. In it the character is floating in limbo surrounded by motifs and patterns from each of her two cultures, Ireland and Nigeria. The scene is chaotic but vibrant too. The tone is positive overall as more than anything I do feel truly blessed to be part of two rich, beautiful cultures. Illustrated and written by me. Animation by Digital Beast.
