Our collective GXRLCODE was asked to takeover Youth Magazine and create our own graphics for the issue. We interviewed other female collectives round the world, did features on them and collated a playlist of upcoming female artists from these collectives. A challenge was that we had to use an array of different imagery sent to us that oftentimes were low resolution. The solution was a DIY collage aesthetic that emulates the scrapbooks and collages of our youth in the 90s and captures the spirit of these girls making things happen for themselves. The series was uploaded to their online magazine alongside each article and the graphics were repurposed and resized for social.
